Over the weekend I took a drive down the Oregon Coast on the 101. I started in Astoria with the Goonies house and ended with an afternoon on the sand in Cannon Beach. Any time I feel like I need to rebalance and breathe, the first place I want to go is the ocean. There's something so calming about the sound of the waves. It was a great day with overcast skies and foggy layers. It was comforting for the soul and I loved everything about it.

In all my time living here, I've NEVER been to the Goonies house! I think once my kids are a little older, we'll show them the movie and then we'll take a pilgrimage....
ReplyDeleteOh man, you HAVE to go! The Goonies was one of my all-time favorite movies growing up, and one of my favorite nostalgic throw backs now. A Goonies pilgrimage would be awesome!
DeleteIs this your new blog? Love the look! Great pics too :)
ReplyDeleteIt is, thanks! I needed a fresh start.
DeleteI love the new look! I really did not realize until I moved to Portland that there is a "beach" culture here which is really different than beach culture anywhere else I've been... I have a feeling I should look into this.
ReplyDeleteLovely shots! I love it there, always... aaaah, Oregon coast. I love how you captured the grass!
